Level3AI Completes SOC 2 Type 2 Examination

Level3AI has completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination of the controls supporting Level3AI's Emily AI agent platform. This means an independent auditor evaluated Level3AI's operational controls and issued an opinion on whether they were suitably designed and operated effectively against the AICPA Trust Services Criteria for Security.

SOC 2 is an attestation framework maintained by the AICPA and built around five Trust Services Categories: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Level3AI's examination covers Security through a Type 2 report, which evaluates whether relevant controls operated effectively over a defined period, rather than assessing only at a single point in time.

Level3AI already holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certifications, covering its information security management system and AI management system. Level3AI maintains a GDPR compliance programme governing how it handles personal data. SOC 2 Type 2 adds independent, evidence-based confirmation of the operating effectiveness of the controls covered by the examination.

For enterprise buyers, this provides independent evidence to support security and procurement reviews. Rather than relying solely on vendor-provided responses, buyers can review the SOC 2 report alongside Level3AI's other security certifications and documentation as part of their due diligence.

For customers already running Emily, it provides additional assurance that the controls supporting the platform are operating effectively.
